Rhythms of a healthy heart - by shemi joseph

Home is where the heart is:
Caught in a vortex of sedentary lifestyle, genetic preponderance and diabetes to higher cholestrol
levels. It is projected that indians as an ethnic group are more susceptible to contracting heart diseases. A decade since inception world heart day has spread awareness aimed at reducing the number of deaths caused due to heart diseases globally.it highlights the fact that  80 percent of premature deaths caused due to heart diseases can be in control if the main risk factors, tobacco, lack of adequate physical activity and unhealthy food habits are kept in check.
Know your risks:
In a family where a male member less than 55years of age and a female member less than 65years of age have had a heart attack, the siblings and the children are at a high risk of developing a heart condition says Dr.Joy M Thomas,HOD,GLOBAL HOSPITALS and Health city.
Dr.Vaidyanathan,APOLLO Hospitals is still optimistic.Among the nine conventional risk factors,4 are lifestyle related and 5 are metabolism related. the good news is that all of them are modifiable.
Way Forward:
Once contracted heart disease can only only be controlled. therefore the key lies in making your home heart healthy, acknowledging the risk factors, and integrating precautionary measures into your daily routine, for the disease no longer respect age and class.

So have happy and healthy heart.
Thanks for Your patient heart in reading the above.
